If you needed any more reasons to love Hayden-Harnett…
Just got their email saying they’re stepping up their whimsical-in-name, serious-in-results “Friends of Al” project, offering anyone who buys their Friend of Al shopping tote 20% off the rest of their order. In addition, out of the very reasonable $55 price for the sturdy and pretty tote, $25 goes to organizations fighting global warming–plus, our Hayden-
Harnett friends will plant ten trees. Well, bravo again, Toni and Ben–not only for creating your line of gorgeous, timeless, beautifully well-made, imaginative, and did I mention gorgeous, bags, but also for making them in such beautiful colors, and even more for using real girls as your models, featuring Py the Cat on your website, taking dreamlike pictures and sharing them, and now, supporting one of the most serious concerns facing the planet.
And, dear readers, even if you don’t share my purse passion, my bag besottedness, Hayden-Harnett make a lot of other cool stuff (e.g., clothing, jewelry, wallets, eyeglass cases) as well, and you shop–everybody has to shop–so use their birdy-dreamish green and natural canvas bag instead of paper, or plastic. http://haydenharnett.com/news/friendsofal.html
Thanks for the kudos! I love your blog & your comics. Anyone who isn’t on Hayden-Harnett’s mailing list needs to use the code ECODISC1 at checkout to get their 20% off when they purchase the Friends of Al tote. Also, the offer is only good until 4/15.

Ben.
Oops! Belay that last comment. You linked to the newsletter. I should have checked that before. Very clever! My excuse is I’m awake at 8 AM on a Sunday (I am working in the store today).
| Posted 16 years, 2 months agoI have three responses to Ben: first, bless your heart for being at work at that UNholy hour! If I were still in Brooklyn I’d rush right out & bring you some home-ground coffee and some Cosmic Catnip for Py. (Not that any self-respecting feline wouldn’t be lounging instead of working!) Second, why would anyone in their right mind not be on your mailing list? That would be just silly. Finally, thanks for your appreciative comments (strangely, many of us cartoonists never really believe there are actual human beings out there who see our work–much less our fashion heroes!) and for the crucial information about getting all our little hands on your rockin’ Friend of Al tote. Y’all buy that tote before Tax Day, hear?
